hm. the text that i read said benezine, but i cannot find any information on that. it is most likely a spelling error. thanks, jay-qu.

Benzine is petroleum ether

Benzene is used to make a lot of things.

But be very careful! It can kill you or cause you nasty cancer :hihi:

Where you hook-up with a bottle of it, I'm not sure. You probably need all kinds of permits and authorizations. :cup:

well, you can do an extraction useing only the cacti, and water, but i am looking to get the pure chemical mescaline extracted, in a crystaline form. gets rid of the horrible taste, and likely the vomiting as well. then i can crush it and load it into 350mg "horse" pills. eek.

It should not be too hard to aquire sodium hydroxide, but if you live in the U.S., it is illegal to posess mescaline... unless you belong to a Native American tribe. haha. I am fairly certain that mescaline is a hallucinagenic drug

:hihi:

You can get sodium hydroxide as drain cleaner, or caustic soda. It may not be totally pure but it's the easiest and probably cheapest way to get it.

seeing s how im going to ingest it, would drain cleaner be nessesarily safe?!?

Why?

Purifying and concentrating plant chemicals just leads to trouble and pain.

Just chew the cactus with some friends and forget the chemistry.

Highly concentrated plant chemicals are usually toxic as they start their lives basically as pesticides designed to kill or discourage predators.
