Hello lack of cost bright luminous object in the sky,

ahem....that's "hello creating a solid state bright luminous object in the sky" to you Mr. :) :D

I am not 100% on this, but seem to remember a post in TP somewhere stating that part of the benefit of charcoal is the pores, whereby microbes have a place to reside and spread their gardening love. If you were to slurrisize the charcoal, those pores would all but go away, so you may want to just suck it up and do some manual labor... i.e. smash away.

True, If only my blender were that good...

But seriously, I've read in the TP threads that you need fine particles to achieve maximum efficiency. Bacteria will see my "slurry" as a "sea of gigantic icebergs". :)

As for adhesive, it all depends on what type you bought. Cowboy charcoal is just wood and heat put together to make the final product. Others... well, perhaps have some help. Here's a site describing the cowboy way:

Cowboy Charcoal Co. - Real Flavor....Real Fast

I'll have to track down the recommendation I referred to and research its basis (or legitimacy). I bought charcoal briquettes, as posted above, of the type you use to start a charcoal grill for grilling hamburgers and hotdogs.

;)

Happy planting mate. :)

Thanks mate! :) I'm happy there are so many enthusiastic land lubbers here!

Freeztar, I broke up my wood charcoal using a wet burlap bag and my own two feet (with sneakers on). It was back-breaking work. If you have some heavy or sturdy boots, a bag (which you can wet to reduce charcoal dust coming out), you could try the same thing but with better results and less work.
