Tormod Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 We are seeing a lot of discussions lately that have nothing to do with science, or which tend to stray too far off-topic to remain interesting as content at a science forum. Therefore we have launching a new site where you can discuss absolutely everything. It will *not* have a science beat, but rather try to be about absolutely everything. We are still in beta, meaning that the new forum isn't really finished, but I would be very happy if you sign up and start posting so we can get the ball rolling. The idea is to create a friendly and cool community for general chitchat! The site is called PostMagnet, and the address is...http://www.postmagnet.com/ Please note that your username and password here at Hypography does NOT work at PostMagnet unless you register using the same credentials. Oh, and since everything is still in beta, please report any problems! We are looking for people who would like to help moderate PostMagnet. Please send me a PM if you're interested. Quote
Cedars Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 Are you thinking of moving some things from here, to the new forum? If so, which topics? Quote
Jay-qu Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 some things, sort of.. its just so that this forum is not as cluttered with less to non-scientific discussions. In the other forum these are free to go as far off topic as the users minds can take them! Quote
Celeste Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 Nice job Tormod. It was easy to register and I had no problems navigating around whatsoever. I also like the topics, I'm sure you'll see membership jump enormously during this next week. Quote

It is rather a way to create a forum for those who like this community but who may want to discuss other things that do not have a science angle. I hope it can grow into a healthy and friendly community without taking anything away from Hypography. Quote
Racoon Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Is there any way to make a direct "quick Link" button? Just transfer over with a mouse click? For those of us lazy and computer challenged. :) Quote
