Microsoft Products generally tend to be more resource demanding. For instance, the new Visual Studio 2005 needs atleast Win XP Professional to make ALL it's features work. Much of their products lack speed which is the primary requirement for the internet today.

Google has on the course (see how simple google.com looks !!! :embarass: ) developed AdSense.

But Microsoft still dominates OS Market. Perhaps we might have Google OS one day :)

Google OS has been a catch phrase for a while now, the thing is, google sponsors many OS-related research, they also did not spend time and develop an OS for their servers, for a reason though, why reinvent the wheel when you can simply improve on something already there. Hence why they run Linux servers and have created their own filesystem called GoogleFS, which btw is amazing if you ever read about it. There is no real reason for google to make an OS, you can use any OS to access the internet, and have a graphical interface to access google services online, services that work on any OS rather then any perticular one...

Yes.... I heard that Google uses Linux Servers. It is not recommended to use Windows Servers as we don't know what happens internally.

Also, we cant customize it to the way we want.

But it would be much better if Google were to release some version of Google OS to the public. ;)

still i dont know whether a lot of people would use Google OS, even though it may and probably will be better then windows still, for some reason people hate change, hence why people don't all switch to Linux, or OS X...
