In our Guitar Rig discussion I promised to post a song when I got my new PODxt virtual amp modeller up and running.

 

Well, here goes. The track was created in Ableton Live 4. Simple mastering done in GoldWave.

 

It's not exactly CD quality and I'm not an experienced producer but I hope someone likes it.

I can't write lyrics for the life of me.

 

Anyway, I have remixed the song and will upload a new version soon, hopefully a bit tighter. The current version doesn't sound too good as an MP3...

Okay, I have fixed the rhythm problems, added some synth pads and a bass part - plus revamped the drums. Hope it sounds more "final" now.

I do recognize something in your rifs, but I can't quite figure the song it is from. This time it is not Almond flavored though!

 

HEY! Just to make sure I was not screwing up the spelling of Almond again, I did a Google for "Almond Bros" and the 3rd listing was:

Here in NY, all of my friends' bands get tons of offers for gigs! If any of you know them, they get to open for bands like Nightwish, King Diamond, Symphony X, and many others on the contemporary metal scene. Granted, most of my friends' bands are really good... You know, Dickinson-inspired vocals, crazy riffs and all. But considering most members are no older than 22, it isn't THAT difficult to get good gigs around here...
