This is really annoying... You go to post something and when you hit post the login screen comes up. Whats even worse about it here as compared to other sites that do this, is if you hit back instead of bringing back the content of your post it reverts back to what was there right after you hit the post button. Which means a lot of effort in the form of carefully thought out and written posts can be lost...

Every forum I have ever been to everywhere, although most will have the post still there when you hit back.

I didn't realize it could be the result of the browser... XP, Internet explorer.

Yeah, I get in the habit of copying replies before posting whenever I hang around a forum like this for a while. But at other forums I get used to just being able to hit back and then copy before logging in, or even logging in and then hitting back and just repost.

That you lose the content when hitting the back button is definitely not something with our site - it must be a caching problem in your browser. Your browser does not communicate with our site if you hit the back button (there might be exceptions but I'm not aware of any in this specific scenario).

That you're being logged out, however, is not good. Did you recently upgrade your Internet Explorer? It could be a cookie problem. I'll check with the forum developers if this is a known problem.

I have this happen too. Just go ahead & Login when you get that screen & when the screen refreshes from your Login your post is posted.;)
