Like. . if I was going to say the opposite of lung,

in one word

 

what would it be?

or

 

Alung.

Scientifically, trees also use oxygen themselves.

I may go on to add that I believe that the concept of opposite is best used in the feild of adjectives.

 

When we attempt to use it for nouns, and other things, it does not always hold a valid linguistic operation (this new terminology is just like mathematical operation)

well, come to think of it... trees aren't really the opposite of lungs, necessarily.

 

plants can be considered the opposite of animals.

 

Lungs perhaps are the opposite of whatever part(s) of the plant that take in carbon dioxide and put off oxygen.
