Since Introductions are now required, many of us are saying hello and adding common greetings to our post count. Perhaps, unless it is your own introduction, we could eliminate posts in Introductions from our post count... It's a bit strange to me that, when I say "Welcome to Hypography," it ticks off another post on my count...

Anyone else feel this way?

Cheers. ;)

Welcome posts are as important as other posts! And the entire point of the welcome thread is to let new members get 1 post so they can be elevated to full member status.

I think the "welcome to Hypography" posts from old members are very valuable. ;) It makes people feel welcome, and gives them a response to their very first thread here!

And, anyway, it would probably be too much hacing involved to remove the post count for full members in that forum.

I agree on the importance of Introduction posts. Without a doubt. Also, I like the idea of them being mandatory. I just feel a bit like I'm taking advantage of the system, because I say hello... A LOT!

No worries, I am pretty sure I can deal wtih it. I won't need counseling or anything (not for this anyway). :)
