Yeah, I'd take the cash :hihi:.

Based on the fact that he is supposedly a good friend, and I hate the "justice" system :naughty:.

:D

I would then use the money to find a method to cryogenically freeze myself and friends to be revived at a time when interplanetary travel is not uncommon, and life can be unnaturally extended :). I would then deposit the remainder of my money in a place where I felt it would earn the most interest and I could then possibly be richer coming out of my cryogenically induced freeze than I had been before paying for it's technology :hyper:.

(Similar to Futurama, I know. But I've had this idea since before Futurama was even on the air ;).)

Now that is the work of a dark mind.

Enh... Dark? Maybe a little :hihi:.

But if I truly posted what was on my mind (About anything and every thing.) I would be banned from the site ;). Even though I am a "forum leader" (Although technically listed as a Mod:naughty:.). No law of Freedom of Speech could save me :hyper:.

There are probably only 8 forums on the entire net that allow posts as "dark" as mine could be :D. The name isn't just something I thought was cool :).

Now, since you haven't yet posted it yet, what would you do?

Here is what I would bother to do.

I would carefully analyse his deeds. I would not take the money immediately, nor would I refuse it.

Then I would ask my family what they would prefer me to do. I would carefully weigh the profits and problems of both the options. I would indeed place morality on a high priority.

I would inquire into the sources of Gladworsch's income.

I would check into the other possible court cases he would face, not wanting to sink with him the next time.

Doing this in real life, I would refuse, and be very steady on it.

Very moral person, good :naughty:.

Well since my above post was obviously not based in "reality" :). What I would do is wait until about the last minute before attesting anything in court to get him out of trouble (You don't screw friends over.). I would wait until the last minute so as to be sure he got scared and realised the high price of his unlawful actions, so hopefully he wouldn't repeat them. The money is a nice bonus, but would be refused.

I'm actually a very moral person myself, but with a twisted view of how to apply those morals ;). The few things I pride myself on are: My honesty, I only lie if I see greater good will come from it (Either through self preservation or creating less "drama"). My promises, I haven't broken a single one since 7th grade... Ever. My chivalry, women are here for us to protect and provide for, I am a firm believer in that. And finally my kindness/generousity, I'm just a very giving person :hyper:. I once gave away a total of $22.73 in one day, a guy needed fare for the bus ($1.75), a woman in line in front of me was short $4.83 for her purchase, and many other things... I felt good at the end of that day :hihi:.)

I dont understand why anyone would refuse the money. Forgery is hardly a serious crime, and if you do your friend a favour now, you will be able to get a favour from him in the future.

If nothing else, youll always be able to blackmail him for more cash in the future.

Ahh. What reasons could be there for refusing?

Unknown source of money. -Could land you in the cooler later.

Social status loss. -You risk all your respect. Will people trust you?

Consience. -A factor in the so called 'moral' people.

I couldn't take the money because I'd be too afraid to be caught. I would be looking over my shoulder all the time, wary of people, wondering if they knew, if they were going to rat me out to the authorities. No, if I felt that he had done no wrong, I wouldn't testify, but I wouldn't accept a bribe. If I felt he had harmed people, I would testify. Of course, there are extenuating circumstances - if I had a child who was terribly ill and that money could save his/her life, perhaps I'd accept the money.
