YYYY Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 I am interested in many things but foremost on my mind at the moment is to find a place where theology can be discussed without the interjection of peoples personal faiths. Am I likely to find that here? RegardsY Quote
Kayra Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 Greetings YYYY, and welcome to Hypography. You best bet to determine if this forum is suitable to your desires is to poke around in a few threads and see if things are to your liking Personally, I would have to say that the answer is a resounding Yes. As this is primarily a science forum, statements toward the nature of religious truths should be supported by logic or fact. Anything less then that could warrant warnings, or even Bans. I hope you have a great time in here. Quote
ronthepon Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 Welcome! You will find this place full of people willing to see rationally, but as long as you are determined not to offend anyone to the slightest. Expect to see you posting soon! Quote
Dark Mind Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 People's personal faiths will always be involved in the Theology Forum. Their view on religion is generally restricted to their own faith. Although they mainly support their faith, all are open minded and glad to hear a new view point on what religion is, why we practice it, and where it originated :D. You're sure to find a great conversation in any one of our Forums . Welcome to Hypography and best regards,DM Quote
YYYY Posted June 4, 2006 Author Report Posted June 4, 2006 Thanks for the welcome and Dark mind I love your sig. Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. I have spent a few day discusing things with idiots over at theologyonline.com Dark Mind 1 Quote
Dark Mind Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 Thanks :D. I take it they beat you with experience? Glad to be able to say most the idiots here show it, and get removed from our friendly online scientific community :D. Quote
YYYY Posted June 4, 2006 Author Report Posted June 4, 2006 No they didn't beat me  I am still flogging a dead horse, but it has become a kind of perverse pleasure. How long do you keep flogging the horse if you are enjoying it? I spose not for long, the discussion becomes rather short and curt. Quote

I know when I'm partaking in such perverse pleasures as that I try to keep them going on forever . I guess I'm a better idiot than my IQ would tell you :D. Quote
Dark Mind Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 Location: I am nowhere... Yet I am everywhere... All at once! You must be quantum!Quantum Mechanics is indeed an interest of mine :D. As well as Theoretical Physics, Astro Physics, and Applied Physics . Anything that helps explains our origins and makes sense of this completely unnecessary life. I can't be satisfied with just a quick explanation through religion and accept every thing I'm told at face value, so I consider myself agnostic (Though born and raised in a Christian family.). Quote
