Jay-qu Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 So after some searching all I have come up with is that high sodium content in glass from Na2CO3, which is added in the production process to lower the melting temp of the SiO2 :) Quote
gribbon Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 Good luck trying to find some to blow up a bathtub. Not nice....you've spoilt my fun! Quote
JackOfTraDeZ Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 i have worked with these metals. i seriously doubt the validity of that video. there was too much power in the explosion to come from 2 grams of anything. a bit of Ru or Cs in water gives a flash-bang (like a firecracker) and a momentary flame ball as the hydrogen burns. BTW, pharmacologically, Ru has the opposite effect of Li. It is kinda like a psychotic stimulant. Not on the streets yet far as I know ... Quote
