InfiniteNow Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 Now, had you asked how many I sleep per night, you'd have received a different answer entirely! Quote
Panjandrum Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 I sleep until Im not tired anymore. Most nights, thats between 8 and 10 hours, tho I have been known to sleep longer. Not having to work helps, of course. Quote
GAHD Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 6-8 hours, working 10+ hour days is fun...but heay, 3 day weekends! Quote
Tormod Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 I assume nights are included. 2-4 hours here. Quote
Edella Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 Two to four hours Tormod? Is this your natural inclination, or is it out of necessity? For how long have you been on this sleep schedule? Ed Quote
Mercedes Benzene Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 Even with school, I still manage to get 6-7 hours of sleep every night! Quote
Jay-qu Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 I voted 6-8 but it varies greatly throughout the week. Some nights less and some nights more. Quote
Turtle Posted June 8, 2006 Author Report Posted June 8, 2006 I assume nights are included. 2-4 hours here.:hihi: Yes of course. I thought about using 'cycles' instead of 'days', but I figured that would get a lot of wisecracks.   :hyper: :hyper: Circadian rythm anyone? Quote
ronthepon Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 What do I do if it genuinely varies between 4 and 12 hours? Quote
ronthepon Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 WOW! What a result! I feel so normal now... Quote
Racoon Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 I assume nights are included. 2-4 hours here. Nikola Tesla slept like Tormod sleeps. 2-4. I don't know how some people can do that...:singer: I love to sleep! :) 8-10 hours here. usually 8-9 at night and prefferably a 30 minute cat nap sometime in the day if I can. and I usually can... Post Caffeine buzz and after lunch siesta. Siestas are very important in Latin countries...:) for example:Another mention of my stays in Venezuela.. Everyday between 12 - 3, All businesses would shut down, people go home, have lunch and take a nap. Then go back to work. :eek2: I never could really understand that. Theres no way that would work here in our Ultra fast paced Go-Go-Go mentality. ;) It took some getting used to. I found it boring most times, because there was nothing to do. except eat, read, watch TV, talk, and sleep.Part of learning other Cultures. However there is plenty of evidence supporting a short Nap in the afternoon. Thats another Marveling Mystery of the brain and body. Sleep! I mentioned this in the cool animals thread. Okapi's sleep a mere 5 minutes daily; and stay totally alert! while Sloths and Male lions sleep practically all day. S' Funny... Quote
Chacmool Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 I try to sleep at least 10 hours each night during the week. If I sleep less than 8, I can barely function the next day. Various doctors reckon I suffer from fibromyalgia and/or so-called yuppie flu. I look forward to weekends mainly because then I can sleep more. Ideally, I would like to sleep about 14 hours a day. My cat really enjoys all the sleeping that goes on in my house. ;) I lived in Spain for a year, and found their lifestyle much more agreeable. I really liked the siesta time, even though I didn't always sleep. I also liked going to bed later and getting up later. Maybe there's just something "wrong" with my circadian rhythm. :singer: Quote
Tormod Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 Two to four hours Tormod? Is this your natural inclination, or is it out of necessity? For how long have you been on this sleep schedule? Ed Let's say for too long. I suffer from insomnia, or a variety of it, which makes it really hard for me to fall asleep, and when I finally do, I wake up really fast. So a normal night for me includes about 4 hours of sleep in total, although it is not continuous. A side effect of sleeping problems is bad bedtime habits - I often stay up very late even before a workday because I dread going to bed. :( I've had sleeping problems all my life. Quote
Stargazer Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 4-6 hours, which in the long run is probably not enough for me. Quote
