IDMclean Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 I live for Ideals. The golden Ideal for me is that of Truth. I seek to be the embodyment of Truth. I seek to make it part of my entire being, to speek, breath, see, hear, and understand in totality the truth, whatever it maybe. Next to that is Freedom. I am free, and all around me are people who can likewise realize their choice. Realize that they have choice, them and only them. Most people are content, in my eyes, to play in games of Winner-Looser, Master-Slave, Leader-Follower. I am not content to play this game. This simple truth puts me at odds with many who would try and get me to play by the most accepted game in the history of human kind. Next is Love. I would say more about this one, accept all I know is Familial love, and love for my neighbors on this little marble we live on. I have never met anyone that I would give my freedom to. I am not sure but I think that would be true love, some one I trust to be honest enough, and understanding enough to not abuse the gift of my freedom. Last is Beauty. Simply put Beauty is the incomplete, it is Wabi-Sabi. The silent note, the discord, the unknown in the system. I am interested to hear about the Codes of others. Quote
ughaibu Posted June 20, 2006 Report Posted June 20, 2006 Wabisabi is an interesting word, both components denote loneliness. I dont think it's a simple idea, neither is it essentially associated with "beauty". Quote
IDMclean Posted June 20, 2006 Author Report Posted June 20, 2006 That is my personal definition of the Ideal known as Beauty. Not the offical. I am interested to hear what you have to say none the less. Quote
DarkColoredLight Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 Remember what Richard Weaver wrote "Ideas Have Consequences." Quote
IDMclean Posted June 21, 2006 Author Report Posted June 21, 2006 That is part and parcel of Dependent Origin. Cause and Effect. I would rather die True and Free, than live False and in Shackles. Quote

DarkColoredLight Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 What do you do for a living, KAK, that you feel so free as to not to have to answer to anyone? I can't speek for KAC, but I only answer to those who answer to me. Ironic in this thread, I know. But, this is more or less for KAC. Only when I see fit, I tell people; "If you don't want to listen to me, you have no right to talk to me." -Movin' Quote

IDMclean Posted June 21, 2006 Author Report Posted June 21, 2006 I work for my brother when I feel like it, and when he needs my help. Otherwise I do what I do, and from day to day I improve. I have goals, but not many of them reachable in the here and the now. For the time that I did not have a house, I got by. One needs nothing inorder to be free, simply one must sacrifice all they have to be utterly free. One needs sustance to live, but that need arises from the want to live, and if one is willing then that want dissolves and the need dissolves with it. I have nothing as a person, other than what comprises my character. I have everything to gain and nothing to loose. I am free. Quote
