bryankennedy Posted July 15, 2006 Report Posted July 15, 2006 I'd be curious if the admins had a specific age in mind when they created the site? We're they going for a younger audience? More seasoned adults? Quote
Turtle Posted July 17, 2006 Report Posted July 17, 2006 I'd be curious if the admins had a specific age in mind when they created the site? We're they going for a younger audience? More seasoned adults? Welcome Bryan.:cup: I have read your first few posts and inspite of your age you appear to be Hypography material.:) In direct response to your question, the motto of Hypography is "Science For Everyone". Everyone regardless of age, race, color, national origin, etc.. Quote
Boerseun Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 Yeah, Bryan - don't sweat the age issue. We welcome people of all colours and of all ages. We do, however, draw the line with green bicentarians. They're just plain scary. And they smell. Quote
IMAMONKEY! Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 WOW. I didnt realize there were so many of us high schoolers! 20??? lol more than i expected honestly. Quote
Pyrotex Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 Well, I turned 60 two weeks ago. My wife is 39, and we're still giggly poke-and-tickly in love after 3.5 years of marriage. I reckon that knocks 8 years off my "age". I can still do calculus. That's another 3 years. I'm told I would make a great stand-up comedian. That's another 3. Most of my friends are my wife's age. Take off another 2. I'm the second-best punster in Clear Lake City, Texas. Take off another 4. I still have all my own hair. Take off 1. That makes me 39 years old, same as my wife. Woops, wait a second. I know how to use a sliderule. Make that 45 years old. Quote
Chacmool Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 Well, I turned 60 two weeks ago. My wife is 39, and we're still giggly poke-and-tickly in love after 3.5 years of marriage. You nimble old fox, Pyro! :hyper: I'm a little bit jealous and seriously impressed! ;) Guess who's the lovemaster here on Hypography?! InfiniteNow Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 Guess who's the lovemaster here on Hypography?!Well, I guess that much is obvious, but I'd definitely be willing to share the crown with my man P-tex. :) Quote
Tormod Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 That makes me 39 years old, same as my wife. I'm told I would make a great stand-up comedian. Men of that age should be careful when listening to their friends. They are all shocked at the reality that they are sure will hit them when they turn 40. Quote
Turtle Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 At my age, making love is like trying to put a marshmallow into a piggy bank. :cup: Fortunately, the banks don't mind the attention. Quote
Pyrotex Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 Men of that age should be careful when listening to their friends....Absofreakin Lutely!!!! LOL :cup: As I am learning the hard way. uuuhhhhhh... why did I start this post? OH! Yes! Tormod, I want to thank you for the lovely get-well gift you sent from Oslo, Norway! It was most appreciated. The bubble sheet was of a much higher quality than we can get in the US. Gwen and I spent over an hour popping all the bubbles, laughing so hard, the tears ran down our faces. After we popped them all, we were so "pumped up" we had to dash into the bedroom and play Scrabble! So, thank you, thank you, thank you very much! mmm... by the way, there also seems to have been a coffee mug in the box. Was that intentional? PS: Thanks for the Hypography mug!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
IMAMONKEY! Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 Um, wow.. not the kind of reply I'd expect on a thread like this. Yes.... well.. hmm I'm 15 and I thought I was one of the few but apparently there are quite a few in the 15-19 category. Strange because I honestly didnt expect that. Other then that, I really enjoy this site and am happy to be a member of it. Still thinkin about that sponsorship though... hmmm :) who knows? B) Regards, IMAMONKEY! Pyrotex 1 Quote

Michaelangelica Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Be more accurate to ask what is the average age of those voting in this thread... Yes, so how can a couple of thosand view the thread; and only a couple of dozen vote? Something is wrong with the hit meter? Quote
eric l Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Yes, so how can a couple of thosand view the thread; and only a couple of dozen vote? Something is wrong with the hit meter? For one thing, some of us visit again to look at the score and/or the comments. But that could not explain much more than a 10 to 1 ratio visiors/voters. Then there are problably also a lot of visitors that are not registred members, and simply can not vote... Quote
