Welcome SF; let's fire it on up!

yeah I had been reading this tread for a while, and want to post in it.

Im also working on a way to make charoal with solar power, but using mirrors to bring them temp up.

I really like way you built it. outstanding work.

It looks like have to make 10 posts before I can post any links :eek2:

I working a program right now to calc the angles that the mirrors I'm going should be at. for my test data I used the same focus point of 10 on my program. x^2 = 4pf

Sweet po-pete! Take your time & again welcome. By-the-by, I'm required by law to ask how you found us?

I also use a photovoltaic panel & deep-cell battery for mobile & backup power at home in blackouts. They keep promising it is getting cheeper, but I don't see it in the shops!?

That is all.:eek2:

PS Are you native to Okinawa? I knew a woman who was a nurse on the hospital ship Comfort that went in with the US invasion fleet there.

I was trying to figure out a project to build this summer. I found this forum via google, I was searching for people building solar parabolic troughs, and ran right into yours.

I had built a solar furance a few years ago, but it was just a wall of mirrors that I had to align the mirrors by using screws to focus all the beams. I had 12 X 12 array of 2" x 2" mirrors.

This time I want build something like it but using the parabola forumal so I dont need to adjust 144 mirrors to get it to work right.

last summer I built a hydrogen electrolyzer useing pvc pipes 5 VW solar battery chargers to power it.

Nope Im not native Okinawan, but I have lived here for about 9 years total. Im also interest in the WWII history of Okinawa

A hint: You can use PM to Turtle and he would post the link for you. :hyper:

The 10 post count thing is because we have had serious problems with spammers.
