inside the sun Posted June 29, 2006 Report Posted June 29, 2006 Aging is a weird thing, we get older we learn new things, times change, we get more responsibilities, etc. The funny thing is though, i still feel the same, like a part of me isn't effected by time, i only just graduated highschool but im curious if i will always feel how i feel now and how i have felt. Im being broad i know, but to put it simply, I feel the same. What does that mean, well, whatever my pre-determined thought was for my age, isn't really anything i expected and i wonder if every age in life will be like that. I feel like the only thing aging is my body, maybe my maturity, but i can still be really immature. No matter how much progress is made in any direction, there are still times when it feels as though there never really was any Quote
Buffy Posted June 29, 2006 Report Posted June 29, 2006 Aging is a weird thing, we get older we learn new things, times change, we get more responsibilities, etc.Amen! The funny thing is though, i still feel the same, like a part of me isn't effected by time,I'd argue that the way you change is more easily perceived by others, who'se opinions of course you're most likely to dismiss if you feel this way! i wonder if every age in life will be like that. I feel like the only thing aging is my body,Wait a decade or so and boy will your body let you know that its aging... No matter how much progress is made in any direction, there are still times when it feels as though there never really was anyThis is not a bad thing. Its not the way that some people feel, and there are those out on the extreme end (like me: my friends from high school will tell you I've been 35 my whole life  ). There's that appellation (really epithet) "that awkward age", but I've always thought that most people think that every age is awkward. Keep thinking (and writing) about it: its the only way you can ever come to terms with it, and be happy with it. Hopefully ageless,Buffy Quote
