TheBigDog Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 The Tiger Woods of Hypography, the standard of excellence that I shall forever strive to equal, yet will always pale in comparison to the real thing. Turtle is and ever shall be the master poster. We love to celebrate numbers with zero's at the end, but I know that some other numbers will be more meaningful for my hard-shelled friend. Numbers like 202 - the next palandrome. 225 - the next perfect square. 216 - the next perfect cube. Now all of that is base 10. If we look at the number 200 in base 7 it is 404 - a palandrome. And in base 9 it is 242 - a palandrome. Both of which are k(n)=8 in the Katabatak caverns. And while 8 is not 6, it is not bad either seeing how 8 = 2^3, and 2 * 3 = 6. So roundaboutly, it is indeed close to perfect. And therefore more than worthy of celebration! :cup: Well done Turtle! I'll keep following in your footsteps and learning with each stride. Bill Quote

Racoon Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 Turtle is indeed Legend. " If you see a turtle on top of a fence post, it didn't get there by itself " :) Great work Turtle-san. many continued admirations and great postings! glad to know you,Racoon Quote
Turtle Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 " If you see a turtle on top of a fence post, it didn't get there by itself " :) And when a turtle is put on a fence post by a racoon they drop them from above.:( I have seldom agreed or quarreled with a finer mammal. i don't know about Turtle.... but I have had A turtle bite me before...and all I was trying to do was get it out of the middle of the road. Alas, as we turtles have reptilian brains we do on occassion give over to it & bite. Our sincerest apologies for any & all innocents harmed.;) Quote

hallenrm Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 The only other turtle i know of, is the one that won the race against the hare because of its slow but steady movement towards its goal. Turtle on Hypography is no different!!!:) :P :) :) :) :) :) Quote
