paigetheoracle Posted July 9, 2006 Report Posted July 9, 2006 The deeper your thought, the longer lasting and wider spreading your action will be. This is why ignorance is in fact local (no depth in - no movement out): This is different from local knowledge, which can be very astute and in depth. What it is, is failure to explore the world out there and the world in here (see my first posting 'The Systemic Universe', which builds up a very big picture from a small beginning and whose significance therefore cannot really be appreciated without the larger body of evidence to back it up i.e. subsequent posts, to indicate where it is going). This relates to fear, which if acted upon takes you away from the present moment (panic and run reaction). Meditation is staying and observing (stillness and silence to allow things to develop as a dispassionate observer), inside and out, to see what is happening - the slower you move, the more you become aware of; the faster you move, the less you become aware of (blurred vision/ sound reacted to, not listened to: Think of music and dance as a partnership, not as separate entities). This is the stance of the criminal in society as opposed to the lawful - violently reactive, short sighted and short lived (poor quality of life/addictive/grabbing at opportunities without thought of long term consequences (the easy answer/ quick fix), upon himself or the world around him: What you give out comes back to you - the smaller the world you move in, the quicker it returns to haunt you.
