So i am supposed to say a little about myself

I am interested in Chemicals and their evergrowing use in todays society.

I am concerned with what we are doing to this planet that God gave us.

I am concerned about the health effects and the future of our Children.

I like science when it can keep facts as facts and theories and theories.

Eg I dont like it when people talk about the theory of evolution as though it was a fact :edizzy:

Well, that should get a bit of interest

Have happy, respectfull, discussions everyone.

That's the spirit,I think you'll find most people here are very respectful.

Religion too.

There has been some good discusion on evolution, and we also have a theology section that has some lively debate...Jump in.

I don't like when people talk about God as though it(He) were a fact. Although I will consider the possibility...

I hope you have fun here.I do,and I learn a lot from atheist and theist alike.

thanks for the wellcome guys :edizzy:

We all have our likes and dislikes and it is a simple matter of saying "you think differently than me, and thats OK"

We dont all have to think and feel the same way about things:)

A bit of trivia regarding science. Science has no true facts, only things which, as of yet, are generally accepted as facts due to paramount evidence in favor of their validity. Science never answers anything, that is not the perview. Science formulates questions for answers, so that many more questions can be formulated. Think of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The answer is 42. Which is good and all, but what's the question, that's the real jewel.

Anyway, Welcome to the carnival, Tormod is the resident ringleader and proprietor. Turtle would be the Resident Mathemagician, capable of amazing feets of dazzling Mathematics. Buffy is the Satirical lady, and critic Fantastique. RonThePon is the Constant boy, fast as and almost faster than speeding light. Orbsycli is resident Musician and Far-out mystic man, fun to chill with and full of poetry. Don't mind Uncle AI, though he is very brash in his manner, he is very intellegent and does have a tendency toward the tangible resources, A Dissedent and Chemist Par Excellence, by any other name a Mad Scientist.

This is only to mention a few of those who spend their time here. I hope you get to meet and know the many others who contribute so much to such a decisively intellegent, reasonable, and well managed carnival of memes.

I am the resident self-proclaimed self-educated fool and hermit. I know nothing and remember even less. Listen to my words of foolishness at your own risk.

-Hope to see you wandering around,

We have been having a very long , very involved discussion on Darwin in "Darwin re-visited thread"

and I am sure there are many who will discuss creationism & evolutionary theories with you in the Theology Forums!

What country are you from? USA?

hello

i have been busy for a while

To answer you question I beleive that Jesus is the risen Lord

I went from an atheist to desiding that there must be a creator, that the univerce can not have come from nothing.

Fropm there I read the bible and have foung enought in there to convince me that faith doent have to be blind.

There are mant truths that support the existance of God.

Yuo only have to open yuor mind to the possibility. But that is not easy as i have been there myself and my hart was hardened.

Many years ago as a teenager my best mate saw the light and tried to change me but i would not have it.

he gave me a book "evidence that demands a verdict" and it sat on my shelf unopened for 30 years. if i very looked at the cover i would scoff, when evidence could there be for a God :naughty:

He couldnt exist and so there could be no evidence!

But i was wrong and later when i found Jesus and accepted hom as my saviour, i opened the book and saw that there was in deed evidence.

Well megabuff,

I'd lay it on you to support those claims if they were not made off topic here in the introductions forum. I will only suggest that what you describe above as truth and evidence is not such. It is your interpretation of text and stories. That's good, but the moment you call it a truth it must also apply equally to others, and it does not.

Anyway, welcome back. ;)

hi infinite now

i made my submission in response to the question asked of me by learnin to learn.

ok so if you would be willing to have an open mind and read this book by Josh Mc Dowell you might get a different point of view.

He was an athiest and started out trying to prove there was no God but the more evidence that he found, the more it pointed to God being real.

he was still rejectingthe evidence that he uncovered until it reached the poind where he had to take a look at his own views as it wasny logical to ignore what he had found.

He has come to the conclusions that if all the evidence were subm, itted to a court of law then the jury would have to find that Jesus is God !

Please...reading your suggested book has nothing to do with others having an open mind.
