Chemnut Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 I like to talk Chemistry. Hour long discussions are great. I searched the Internet for intelligence and wandered onto this site. I watched awhile and read alot and deduced, there is intelligence here. I like many areas of science, from the simplest of molecules, Hydrogen, to the heavy radioactive elements, to global warming, earthquakes, volcanoes, the physics of a rainstorm, mining, and many other areas. I'm looking forward to education. Quote

Do you love wolframite? :hihi: Quote
Chemnut Posted July 25, 2006 Author Report Posted July 25, 2006 Do you hunt meteorites down there in Southern Nevada Chem? Do you love wolframite? :) I gave up without trying. Those things are so fast, their velocity is so many times greater than the muzzle velocity of my gun, not to mention how long it would take me to track them on foot, that I decided it wasn't worth the effort. Besides, what would I do with one if I shot it? They're tough eatin, ain't they? :cup: :) I do pick up rocks that are different or uncommon during my explorations of ghost towns, railroad grades, mines etc. I never really looked for meteorites. I have toured areas where metorites have hit on occasion. Quote
IDMclean Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Welcome to Hypography, I look forward to learning Chemistry with you. I hope to hear what you got to say in the Chem 101 thread. I further hope that we, as a community, live up to snuff. Quote

There are a least 4-5 different threads on global warming I am interested how eminations from plants can trigger rainstorms. Most of my country is in drought and there is renewed interest in Clould Physics (an area we used to lead the world in.) I am new here too. I have found it a nice community You will find the people here helpful, caring, considerate and knowledgeable. Everbody is always asking questions What country are you from? Quote
