Tormod Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 Did I ever mention that my wheelchair has a custom turbo-booster power supply, and magneto-hydrodynamic non-linear motors? Start running. I thought perhaps you'd be more of a gadget freak... Quote

Tormod Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 Astronauts - I believe they got a half-check this week, although that is not to say that he is half Czec. Indeed...Christer Fuglesang, currently on Discovery en route to the ISS, is Swedish but has a Norwegian dad (born in my city). Actually, the contraption is called Norwegian Utilitarian Technology Seat. Quote
InfiniteNow Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 Actually, the contraption is called Norwegian Utilitarian Technology Seat.Whatever, you're completely nuts! Quote
Tormod Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 Notice the practical intravenous whiskey dispenser. It will fill your left leg *and* the other one (assuming they are still attached) and you don't even have to stand up straight afterwards. Ingenious! Quote
TheBigDog Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 Actually, the contraption is called Norwegian Utilitarian Technology Seat. It is manufactured by ACME. And is normally used in conjunction with an over sized personal rocket booster. Bill Quote
Jay-qu Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I raced in my first triathlon this past weekend  I placed 624th overall and 5th in my category (first timers :hihi:) First was the swim - 500m, Then the bike - 20k, then the run - 5k. Took me 1 hour 19 mins from start to finish. Got some pics: Racoon 1 Quote
TheBigDog Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Is that a GIRL passing you during the run? I worked with a woman who ran her first marathon while we were on a project together in 1998. The whole project team went down to cheer her on from a couple of points on the rout. Being the anti-social jerk that I can tend to be I felt compelled to count and report how many one legged runners had finished ahead of her. It was 23. I could not finish either what you did or a marathon in my current physical shape without the aid of an ambulance. Bill Quote
Pyrotex Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 ...I could not finish either what you did or a marathon in my current physical shape without the aid of an ambulance. BillDon't you mean, an ambulance with a Norwegian Utilitarian Technology Seat?? :hihi: :cup: :) Quote

arkain101 Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 A short lived mohawk, :hyper: And a picture I made tonight of a scale version of earth near the sun. (look on the right side near the middle) I also added lighting, stars, and another earth to add even better perspective on the size of things we happen to live in. ;) It turned out so great I wanted to share it here. I dont know how to put it in the art section. I'll go and figure that out, in the meantime, its here, you might see my picture im like that 0.000009% of the pixel on that little earth planet.:eek2: Quote
arkain101 Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 it gives me an eary feeling seeing those two objects, earth and sun, so close together. haha. I have much larger versions. Up to 2100 x 2034. PM me if you want one that size. I only have like a 12 or 13 inch moniter lol ;) Quote
