alexander Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 Some of you have probably heard that AMD officialy bought ATI.... this brings a few thoughts: Isn't AMD building that plant in Germany? Where did they get the money to buy ATI? What is Apple going to do now? They run ATI Radeon cards in their laptops, and they didnt want to get associated with AMD, so are they going to switch to Nvidia? Do they now want to get associated with Asus, main AMD user? LOL... Would this mean that the ATI drivers for Linux will finally be good and improved? Are we looking at ATI STI technology in the future or dual or quad core Graphics processors? ... Just food for thought... Quote
UncleAl Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 Friday Los Angeles Times Business section, p. 1, above the fold, "AMD has cut prices and boosted performance to win customers." The bastards. Why isn't Intel being protected? Where is the House Unamerican Activities Committee? Make AMD diversity hire! One can hardly wait for the AMD quad core processor first quarter 2007. Quote
alexander Posted July 31, 2006 Author Report Posted July 31, 2006 well, i guess so anyways, cuz amd is so awesome... but intel just released their new dual core chip with even higher benchmarks, hope apple will put that into their powerbook pros before i get one... Quote
Jay-qu Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 Was it someone here that said AMD bringing out a quad core processor? Quote
