I got a job at a cell phone selling place recently..... gaining some real world experiences.

 

I just wanna share my happines of my first paycheck--around 300 bucks.

 

I have much less time thinking about physics and other stuffs... i don't know if it's good or bad though.

i have to admit that i did learn a lot in the working places.

 

during these couple of days, i made some pretty bad mistakes. Got my manager pretty mad. But i thought, "hey, deal with it Tim, where did your 'Tim-ness' go"?

 

i kept doing my thing... and i was glad how i was able to cope with everything.

I also got a job, maybe a 6 weeks ago.. In a Surf shop :rant: Its to easy to get paid for working with and serving fine looking young females :D

i took my family out for a nice dinner and saved the rest, as my sisters did.

That's the ticket. Now when you come on something you want or need, you have money saved for it. Nice to hear you are enthusiastic about working.:hihi: One of these days I plan to expand some of those equations you produced by the by; spectacular.:eek:

PS I spent the first money I earned as a boy on either fireworks or electrical components.:)

Just remember that the 300 bucks you earned can be split and put into savings for physics pursuits.

 

I want to encourage you to further your physics addiction - In my province only 10% of students graduate with physics on their high school diploma, and even fewer take it in university!!!

my first pay went into paying for a new phone, my old one was broken, the rest + more is paying for my uni books!

Tim, Jay-qu yall got fun jobs! I am stuck baging groceries and puting up new price tags! Every once and awhile I will see a pretty little lady :).

man, my job ain't fun at all.....

 

i have to memorize all models of cell phones and price plans, policies. I haven't even memorize them all as of now.

 

and people are constantly "battling" with you. With my boss trying to tell me to get more sells, and my customers trying to get cheaper deals.....

 

these are all too... different from solving a... lets say physics problem... hehe

I like my new job - I QA cell phone games for skyzone entertainment. I get to play games all day! (ok, so it's not that good, it's not really like playing the games, but it's still a nice job)

I cant wait for my next job! after college, I am joining the army to do research on viruses! and after 4-years, I will be qualified for a job in the CDC!!!!:sun:

Either that or I am moving to Ireland and making money playing my fiddle!:shrug:
