TheBigDog Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 The die hard fan in me says the 49ers go 16-0 and win the Superbowl. The die hard fan in me has made this same prediction every year for 25 years. A similar part of me says the Cowboys go 0-16. I have not been following the league closely enough to give a sensible fan evaluation, other than to say that the Browns will suck. Bill Quote
InfiniteNow Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 I have not been following the league closely enough to give a sensible fan evaluation, other than to say that the Browns will suck.I dunno. I have a funny feeling that both they and the Bengals will have a good year. Maybe I should meander over to the "Predictions" thread. :shade: Quote

Maybe I should meander over to the "Predictions" thread. :shade: The Bengals have a brutal schedule.. and Carson is still recovering from knee-surgery.The Browns just lost their all-star Center in practice already.. they are jinxed. Here is a cool video from perhaps the best running back ever.Barry...:) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fm93GZaq-5k&search=Barry%20Sanders Quote
Tarantism Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 go falcons. actually, we may have a significant shot this year. the real truth is that micheal vick has progressed as a passer each year that he has been in the league. the only thing that worries me is that he will forget to be a exellent playmaker as well, giving in to all the critics who say he cant pass. warrick dunn is a good runner and will be for a few more years. he has the advantage of being a small back who can break some tackles and run inside and outside. the biggest problem for the falcons is WRs. they really dont have any, and the ones they do have are young. brian finneran will get 400, but if either Roddy White or Micheal Jenkins have breakout years and crumpler gets at least 700, exopect the falcons in the playoffs. oh and dont forget they have added all-pro tackle wayne gandy to an already good run-blocking line. the defence wasnt a problem last year, and it will only be better this year with the return of Ed hartwell from injury and the addition of veterin pro-bowl safty Lawyer Milloy. Tarantism Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 anybody else get into the science of football?? Quote
infamous Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 Being a native Missourian, I ofcourse pull for the Chiefs but to tell the truth, I think Indy will go very far into the play-offs this year, maybe even win the Super Bowl...............Infy Quote
Tarantism Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 ah, lets remember that is said every year! haha, yeah but in all fairness they do have a good chance every year. Quote

Tarantism Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 they put a kicker on there? A KICKER!!!!! Quote
TheBigDog Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 they put a kicker on there? A KICKER!!!!!The 1991 49ers only needed one more field goal. They were 10-6 and lost the tie-breaker to the Falcons. In 4 of their 6 losses they missed 2 or more field goals and lost by 3 or less points. For the season they hit just 52%. A better kicker and they would have swept through the playoffs. They won their last 6 games of the season, including the final Monday night game of the year 52-10 over the bears. I still lament for that season... Bill Quote
Tarantism Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 yeah, but the Niners always have bad kickers. the feild goals taht Vinitari made could have been made by half the kickers in the league. if mannings touchdown record was achieved by half the QB's in the league, would he be so amazzing? Vinitari's popularity is just like Brady's. Quote
Racoon Posted September 12, 2006 Author Report Posted September 12, 2006 Week 1 is officially in the books! :D http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/scores?weekNum=1&season=Regular of particular note:Seahwaks win! albeit in an ugly fashion. :) Giants lose, on a national stage ;) Chiefs lost at home, where traditionally they are unbeatable :hihi: 49ers again have No chance this year :confused:Falcons do look like contenders :hihi: Reactions?
