According to inflation type theories, the instant of the bang brought with it all the physics, essentially as it is today (thought at much higher energy densities). According to variably speed of light theories, though, (which might be the only current rival to inflation, though its quite the minority opinion) the speed of light was changing (and hence, energy wouldn't be conserved). -Will Quote
