Topicana bottles their juices just a few miles from my home, in Bradenton Florida.

I remember hearing something about their factory, and anybody living within a 50 mile radius is going to DIE of something!

It sounds far-fetched, and I'm not too worried..

but does anyone have any information regarding their waste-output?

Or any conspiracies against them, or anything?

I'm curious, i wan't to know what's up with these guys.

I always use the website "Scorecard" to find information about polution. (I'm such a dork). The website is basically a database that contains info. about factories and facilities across the U.S. (literally thousands).

It tells all the chemicals and substances that each facility puts out and the amounts of which are being released into the environment. I high suggest it to anyone looking for data. You can search by city, zip code, facility name, facility type, type of chemical released, specific chemicals released. I could go on and on... it IS SO AMAZING!

Anyway, here is the link to the tropicana site in Bradenton.

Apparently it ranks in the 100th percentile for national pollution releases.

But... check it out yourself!

Ummmm... I gave you their waste output... that's what you said you wanted in your original post. Sorry. :rose:

no! I thank you for the information

I just don't quite understand it.

Well, it appears that your biggest threat would be ammonia. It seems from the tables that Tropicana has started to dump more and more stuff into underground wells. Good for the air, but potentially devastating for ground water if there is a leak.
