Our emotional brain frequently gets stimulated by all manner of things, not the least of which, someone who attracts us. It's our higher cognitive functions, prefrontal cortex and the like, which serve to inhibit those baser instinctual responses. We are all primal creatures, and we cannot shut off our response to things which stimulate us simply because we are in a relationship. We can be with someone we love very much and get hot when around another. It's the decisions we make when dealing with these feelings that is the most important part. Quote
