This is ofcourse inspired from "Mythbusters" on Discovery.

 

So,everyone is invited to post the myths with their contradictions and reality.

 

To start with :A falling broken star brings luck.....

 

Contradiction: 1.What we see is actually a meteorite.

 

2.:hihi: A falling star makes an awkward sense as it

has a huge mass relative to earth so better to

say that earth is falling on star .

 

3. A star contains gases ........so broken star perhaps doesn't

makes sense
