Tormod Posted August 18, 2006 Report Posted August 18, 2006 Due to a mistake during our server move, all new posts made in the past 20 hours are dated one day too early (ie, August 19 instead of August 18). This is messing up a lot of threads in our forum but there is not much we can do about it. Eventually the correct time will pass the wrong post times and we will see topics added correctly again. I am sorry for this...operator mistake 101. :)
Tormod Posted August 18, 2006 Author Report Posted August 18, 2006 And if someone wonders where the "original" time problem thread was, it got deleted because a reply to it was shown first in the thread...and when I deleted that post the entire thread disappeared. Ain't time fun when it flies!
Turtle Posted August 18, 2006 Report Posted August 18, 2006 I am sorry for this...operator mistake 101. :doh:You might keep your mistake in mind come next April 1st & have a little fun with it.:hihi:
Tormod Posted August 18, 2006 Author Report Posted August 18, 2006 You might keep your mistake in mind come next April 1st & have a little fun with it.:hihi: This must be the single most stupid thing I've done at Hypography, apart from that time when I deleted some 4,000 posts during a backup operation.
Tormod Posted August 18, 2006 Author Report Posted August 18, 2006 The list of "updated topics" has been temporarily removed so the clock gets a chance to catch up with it's future self.
Turtle Posted August 18, 2006 Report Posted August 18, 2006 The list of "updated topics" has been temporarily removed so the clock gets a chance to catch up with it's future self.Do I have time to meet my great-great-grandpa?:hihi:
InfiniteNow Posted August 18, 2006 Report Posted August 18, 2006 Do I have time to meet my great-great-grandpa?:hihi:Only if you kill him and report back what happens. :D This whole time thing on Hypography is sounding more and more like a sci-fi novel. Maybe we can enlist one of the site's more gifted writers to capture that which is the strangeness in which we find ourselves.:clock::circle: .
Tormod Posted August 18, 2006 Author Report Posted August 18, 2006 Maybe we can enlist one of the site's more gifted writers I'll take that as an insult. But is it from the past or the future? :hihi:
Mercedes Benzene Posted August 18, 2006 Report Posted August 18, 2006 I think this little time thing has messed up my control panel...Threads are appearing that have not been updated.... :hihi:
InfiniteNow Posted August 18, 2006 Report Posted August 18, 2006 I'll take that as an insult. But is it from the past or the future? :hihi:No worries mate. When you compare the fact that this is the biggest error you've made on hypography to those which I've made since I registered, you're pretty much okay. It's all relative, right? :circle: Also, it's always right now.
Turtle Posted August 18, 2006 Report Posted August 18, 2006 I think this little time thing has messed up my control panel...Threads are appearing that have not been updated.... :circle: :D You are late! Another interesting artifact of our entering this time portal is that the members online segment is including yesterday's visitors. Visitation is up; the aliens are here now and they be we.:clock: :xx: :ud: :hihi:  :fly:

Spiked Blood Posted August 18, 2006 Report Posted August 18, 2006 Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town Waiting for someone or something to show you the way Tired of lying in the sunshine Staying home to watch the rain And you are young and life is long And there is time to kill today And then one day you find Ten years have got behind you No one told you when to run You missed the starting gun And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking Racing around to come up behind you again The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older Shorter of breath and one day closer to death Every year is getting shorter Never seem to find the time Plans that either come to nought Or half a page of scribbled lines Hanging on in quiet desparation is the English way The time is gone The song is over Thought I'd something more to say Home, home again I like to be here when I can When I come home cold and tired It's good to warm my bones beside the fire Far away across the field The tolling of the iron bell Calls the faithful to their knees To hear the softly spoken magic spells pgrmdave 1
