LJP07 Posted August 25, 2006 Author Report Posted August 25, 2006 I also hope to study a degree in 'Experimental and Mathematical Physics' and 'Astrophysics' in University, while taking modules in Neurobiology, Immunology and Mathematics, might also take modules in Organic Chemistry, but I still like to keep my interests in science open, while reading text on Pathology, Physiology, 'Consciousness and Social Studies' and have a keen interest in ' Nutrition and Dietetics'. What are you studying at the moment? Quote
learnin to learn Posted August 25, 2006 Report Posted August 25, 2006 dang thats right up my alley! what do you think about biophysics? Quote
LJP07 Posted August 25, 2006 Author Report Posted August 25, 2006 Biophysics wouldn't be my absolute favourite, but it's certainly interesting, what part of Biophysics are you doing at the moment? Quote
Michaelangelica Posted August 25, 2006 Report Posted August 25, 2006 What are you studying at the moment?NothingToying with the idea of another post-grad diploma, perhaps in Psy testing; but I think I am beyond it Quote
learnin to learn Posted August 25, 2006 Report Posted August 25, 2006 At the moment I am a senior in highschool, so I am not really "studying" biophysics. I am basically reading articles and research on the internet. After this year, I will be studying it. Quote

learnin to learn Posted August 25, 2006 Report Posted August 25, 2006 ummm sort of! let me get some sites for you. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biophysics http://www.biophysics.org/ http://biophysics.jhu.edu/ enjoy! Quote
Michaelangelica Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 ummm sort of! let me get some sites for you. !Wow!What a field of studyYou lucky peson. Biology all seems to go murky at a Quantum level. Quote
learnin to learn Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 yes it does. But I have to be kinda tricky to get this degree. You see the army is paying for my college, so they limit the colleges I can attend. So what I have to do is major in biology for 2 years while taking physics courses for my electives. then in my junior year, I switch my major physics. And since I have already taking most of the courses as electives, I wont have to make up to many classes! a,d then for my last 2 years most my electives would be a mixture of biochemistry and biology! what do you think? Study hard and get admission to higher degrees.(especially while the Army is paying)The army can't compain about physics (remind them of the atom bomb) and biology -- just remind them of terrorist smallpox attacks. You might end up woking in a cusshy job with the CIA ! and in your spare time invent or discover something for a Nobel Prize!!(Nobel did invent modern explosives, remember)Good luck Quote
learnin to learn Posted August 27, 2006 Report Posted August 27, 2006 lol, I never thought about that! Quote
