a^(n)-b^(n)=c^(2)-d^(2) like

7^(3)-4^(3)=48^(2)-45^(2),

x^(n)=z^(2)-y^(2) like

3^(3)=14^(2)-13^(2),

from this information we can prove in an elementary and simple way that it is impossible to write

a^(n)-b^(n)=x^(n)

or

a^(n)=x^(n)+b^(n)

for n>2.

We dont know that its impossible from just that, he is just saying that from that info you can proove it. And if you want any further information do a search of the site, it has been discussed a few times before :lightbulb

Actually, the other post in the news thread came a bit later. It should have had just a link to this thread to avoid the dupe, or we could delete this thread.
