Is it just me, or has there been a decrease in activity here at Hypograhpy.

It seems like we've had a lot of new members, but we really haven't had that many new topics posted.

Are people just running out of ideas?

Or is it a coincidence that everyone has busier schedules all of a sudden?

i havent really noticed it, but now that you mention it, i have been reading a lot more and posting less. but thats just me...

There are a few less new topics hanging around.. still loads of activity though :D There will aways be periods of lesser activity though, everything cycles, for instance uni is getting full on and I have exams in 6 weeks which will drag me away from my computer. But after that I will be back in full force :(

yeah im starting fall semester on the 20th and i probably wont be around as much then, except maybe with questions :D

Yes - I seem to remember the same thing happening around this time last year. Prolly the nearing of the end of the year, everything becoming hectic, etc...

The thing is we get a huge surge in traffic around August and September from a lot of people starting school. A lot sign up, but never post. The busiest months are usually September, October, November, April, and May.

Yes, probably in a week or two. I'm already seeing a lot more traffic at http://www.hypography.com/ but it does not necessarily mean people come over to the forums.

But they are exciting, especially to new-comers. They see all this activity and depth.. I was overcome when I first came here, it was quite daunting compared with other forums that I have been to. But I got used to it, sometimes you just cant read it all..

its nice to see an online community that has entire chambers devoted to intellectual conversation and debate, rather than the mindless dribble that appears to be polluting the internet. at least in forum and community settings, otherwise the net is the pool of infinate knowlege.

 

the coolest thing about hypography is that adam and eve are allowed to eat.

No sweat, Merc. It was Labor Day weekend after all, with about a 40% drop in traffic. It will start to pick up again this week if my hunch is correct. We'll see! :rant:
