the following statement strikes me as accurate:

"the best way to do something is to make it appear as if you had done nothing at all".

this quote reminds me of a certain monk finesse to life that modern baligerants have forgotton. now its "bigger the better", everything is obvious and nothing is subtle. its too loud.

thoughts?

I don't see how that is at all effective.

I will give you that. Things do appear to be "too loud" today, but I see no point in trying do do something "quietly". What's the point? If you're going to do something, it's most likely for a purpose. And if that's the case, then the purpose should be made clear....

Perhaps changes which go unnoticed experience less friction or inertia toward that change.

There's also a saying I like, which resurfaced in my thoughts after reading the opening question. It goes something like this.

The knowledgable person speaks. The wise person listens.

Cheers. :cup:

well, i think that it is important to understand that perhaps the reason that this quote speaks so much to me in particular is because i prefer to act in my everyday life with a certain amount of anonymity. i like to avoid ripple effect, achieving what i wish to achieve without stirring or allerting those around me. having as little effect as possible on other people.
