Jay-qu Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Im sure something can be worked out.. even if it is via email  Goodluck with it, I wish more people took on the mentality of how good school is! Spread the word  though it does become rather tiresome and I will welcome the summer break come november. Quote
ronthepon Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 I did'nt know you are a school goer, Tarant! Suggestions for a freshman? Make friends first! When you're confident that you have good friends, concentrate on studies. Then concentrate harder on studies.Come back and post at hypography. (Ask me about it, I've been to twelve schools till now.) Tarantism 1 Quote
InfiniteNow Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 I did'nt know you are a school goer, Tarant!Oohhh.... ouch. What a low blow ron! Gosh, tarantism is a swell guy. No need to take jabs at his intelligence like that ! :smart: Kidding aside, take your time. Show up to every class. Do the reading in advance. The stuff is easier to understand in lecture if you've at least started to look at the foundation of the concepts through the reading. Also, don't expect the professors to hold your hand. Take the initiative, study the syllabus, and do what you need to. School's amazing, and I miss it a bunch. Enjoy, and share your experiences here so I can nostalgically and vicariously enjoy what you're up to! :hihi: Quote
Erasmus00 Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 My only advice for someone with alot of interests is don't be afraid to utilize the ability to drop classes. Can't decide which of two courses to take? Can't decide if you actually like some subject? Take both classes (or even several classes) and drop the least interesting ones. -Will Quote
Tarantism Posted September 11, 2006 Author Report Posted September 11, 2006 wow, thanks for the advise everyone! :D i will surely take it all seriously...eek only about a week until i get started! woohoo! Quote
InfiniteNow Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Be sure to look back at this, say around, mid October. It's amazing how much changes and how quickly it changes when in school... including your own perceptions. Heck, this would make a good sticky if it were in the Homework and Projects forum... hmmm.... :esmoking: Quote
