With the current method of repping the numbers that we have are growing at an increasing rate. Is this an issue? What happens a year from now ...? This would help control the growth, if that is something we want to do.

Ain't synergy wunerful! All this watering and fertilizing and care and now you want to quash the growth! Hell no I say! And not simply because of my condition either, which I find a curious state of affairs I did not anticipate. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Rather than speculate on conditions a year from now and try to act on our suppositions, I suggest letting things take their course. Much like a cellular automaton, one sets the rules, sets some initial conditions, and then turn it loose to see the synergy. :cocktail:

Your current condition? At this rate Tuesday is going to be Thursday. Wednesday is going to August. And Thursday will be the end of existance as we know it!

With the current method of repping the numbers that we have are growing at an increasing rate. Is this an issue? What happens a year from now when there are a dozen people with rep over 500, and one tip of the hat from one of them give people 10 additional points to award? Commendation from 5 of them would give you 50 rep power, something that took half a year just 8 months ago. Should we regulate the amount of points awarded to prevent a geometric increase in the reps? I would suggest that you award the square root of your rep power, rather than you full rep power. This would help control the growth, if that is something we want to do.

In the mean time I am continuing to give it away. My list from yesterday is far from complete.

proportionality. the new members will just end up with having a similar ratio to the old members, otherwise they would never have a chance to catch up.
