Mushbrain Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 Hello truly bright people,I am lost when it comes to mathematics, physics, et al. I honor those who can compute such things. I beg for mercy and assistance. I am the office manager in a general contractor's office. He occassionally asks me to come up with numbers and I haven't a clue as to the correct way to do this. Today, for example, he wanted me to calculate this scenario:There is a room of 1400 square feet. It has a door with 2 square inches of clearance around the bottom. What would be the rate of water flow necessary to fill this room 18 inches deep in 8 hours? 10 hours? How many gallons of water would the room then contain? Please take pity on me!Mushbrain Quote
InfiniteNow Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 Oh shoot, you don't know either? We're all doomed then! :) Welcome to Hypography mushbrain. Hopefully you will contribute as much as you learn, and enjoy all of it regardless. ;) Cheers. Quote
