That 11.11 thing reminds me of the time I woke up and my phones time had reset.. not knowing the time as the only other clock in my room was my computer, which I was just booting up, I punched in a bit of a random guess. Once my computer had booted I was dumbfounded to realise that I had just set my phone to the time of my computer down to the second! Freaky

I think this one is pretty funny. This version if not really a "theory" - I’ve read (in print only) variations where the “child” message appearing on the microwave oven display reveals a tragedy involving a child, or a previously undiscovered pregnancy.

 

Of course, the reason many microwave oven display “child” on their digital clock is because their “child lockout” feature is engaged (typically by pressing the start button 3 times), disabling the controls.
