This is an informational piece on asteroid mining and if there is 100,000 quadrillion dollars of resources on an asteroid why we haven't mined it, read more at There's an asteroid out there worth $100,000 quadrillion. Why haven't we mined it? | Live Science

Do you think that we should begin attempting to extract these 100,000 quadrillion dollars' worth of resources for consumption on Earth for industrial production?

At this point in time we have no ability to mine any asteroids but if we did the material would be more valuable for use in space. Bringing back all the valuable elements such as gold would make gold worthless on the earth.
