Eclogite Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 Oblate spheroid, which has already been mentioned, is the general term. There are several minor variations superimposed on this due to distribution of the continents and their associated granitic roots. I have always favoured describing it as a geoid. i.e Earth shaped. Deliciously precise, yet overwhelmingly vague.;) Quote
