Robust Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 The trianglature formulae (2 part) was first introduced to mathematics by a forumite (forums work) and might be seen as a worthy contribution in analyzing coordinates of the circle: 1) radius * sqrt2 gives the hypotenuse to a right angle triangle and as the chord length of the quadrant; 2) chord length * pi/4 * sqrt 2 is the conversion factor giving distance on the quadrant arc.
