clapstyx Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 Hey I am just wondering if equations that represent simbiotic interaction have been developed yet? I have been working on equations that model the altered probability of survival of species in symbiotic relationships where one species aids another as a by product of its own existence and recieves probability of survival aid in return from that species creating an organically growing probability of survival for the combined unit. If anyone knows anything about this field of mathematics I would like to make contact with you. I have an experiment running at the moment to see if it works in real life (outside the rainforest ecosytem that the equations are modelled on). Quote
Turtle Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 Hey I am just wondering if equations that represent simbiotic interaction have been developed yet? Perhaps cellular automata? :surprise: http://mathworld.wolfram.com/TotalisticCellularAutomaton.html:kiss: Quote
