Mercedes Benzene Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 Is there any possible way to enlarge a picture without making it blurry??As far as I'm concerned, it's not possible do to pixel restrictions, but if anyone has some ideas, please let me know. Quote
TheFaithfulStone Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 It's not possible to do it, but there are some ways that make it LESS blurry. Try a program called "Genuine Fractals." TFS Quote
GAHD Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 also enlarging it in stages using different filters may yeild results Quote
TheFaithfulStone Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 Printing condition, DPI, % scale - all of these things matter. Fundamentally any information you create will be "fake." But you might be able to get away with it. TFS Quote
ronthepon Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 Ofcourse, if they are vector graphics... Quote
Mercedes Benzene Posted October 19, 2006 Author Report Posted October 19, 2006 Thanks guys. I managed to enlarge my image to a reasonable size using Irfanview. I then just applied a "sharpen" filter. It worked okay, but it was definitely sufficient for what I was trying to do. Quote
Mercedes Benzene Posted October 19, 2006 Author Report Posted October 19, 2006 What exactly did you do? I was just trying to enlarge some images for an important project. Quote

That's okay. Thanks for the offer, but I needed it rather quick. All is well though. Even though it was specifically for a project, this was always something that I've wondered because I never knew exactly what it was that made enlarged pictures blurry by requirement. :eek_big: Quote
