alexander Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 yeah they had some problems in the pre 2 versions on core2s Quote
Southtown Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 I got ie7 to install. However, it was the Yahoo version that worked. But now if I want tabs, I have to use the Yahoo toolbar. :burn: Quote
Southtown Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 In the add/remove programs was 'yahoo toolbar' so I uninstalled it. Well, it took all of ie7 with it. lol So I tried again from winupdate, no dice. So I searched and found a google equivalent. :rejoice: P.S. HILARIOUS: IE7 dot comThe Inquirer dot net article Quote
Southtown Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 So I searched and found a google equivalent. No dice. Same story as winupdate. :) Download Internet Explorer 7 optimized for Google Quote
Buffy Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Danger Will Robinson! Microsoft is apparently trying to trick you into installing IE7 in the January Security Update. Be sure you ask it to show you all the updates in the package and uncheck the box if you don't want it. If you have "auto download and update" set, of course, you get what you deserve.... Fight for your right to browse,Buffy Quote
Southtown Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 If you have "auto download and update" set, of course, you get what you deserve....LOL And if you don't, expect your grandma to start calling you any minute now... =P Quote
iorgobas Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 I use Firefox or Opera, i try IE7 but i am not happy ...:P Quote
Southtown Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 Almost forgot, IE7 finally installed. It worked after an xp reinstall. No, I didn't format for IE7, I upgraded to a Raptor 150. =P I don't like the lack of auto save for my tabs, just the dialog on every close. Quote
alexander Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 safari for windows isn't much better either, one hope, safari after leopard release FF all the way... still feel so awkward using IE, its like trying to drive a steam powered car with a right side drive and controls similar to Ford T, after test driving a Koenigsegg CCX or a Bugatti Veyron or something... Southtown Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 Doesn't matter. I find today that I have reached the 'validation limit' on this copy of xp and will soon be linux only. =P Silly me, I yanked my spare HD because my wife's parents' HD gave up the ghost. Now M$ wants 240 (more) bux so I can continue to run the same obsolete OS. I don't know whether to scowl and pout in the corner or leap and skip around in my front yard. Quote
