Tormod Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 This is a rather ingenious (and funny) project. At the University of the West of England they are building robots which are autonomous and get their energy from eating stuff like slugs and flies. http://www.ias.uwe.ac.uk/energy-autonomy.htm There are some great movies there, too. alexander Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 sorry, Tormod i read through the article, but never replied, i sorta forgot, but it is an interesting piece of technology, they say that they cant get more than .6 volts out of this reactor, but i'm sure that there is lots of room for improvement. maybe they could make a robot that would feed on dust and junk and stuff, so i can set one loose in my house and never have to clean... Quote
Tormod Posted December 6, 2004 Author Report Posted December 6, 2004 maybe they could make a robot that would feed on dust and junk and stuff, so i can set one loose in my house and never have to clean... ;) I can see it now: iDuster - clean different! Only $2999,99 from Apple Store (plus $1999,99 per year for software updates). I'd buy it in an instant, of course. Quote
alexander Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 well, if it was microsoft 2999,99 would just be the price of software. Quote
