I'll be in San Francisco from March 17-27 2007!!! The first week is quite busy in that I am attending courses at Berkeley and visiting businesses in Silicon Valley as part of my Master studies (yes, it's a study trip).

I am however planning on staying in SF for at least 3-4 days, perhaps more, and am wondering if someone would like to meet up! I'll probably be on my own from the evening of Friday the 23rd, and plan to leave on Tuesday the 27th.

I hope to attend a 5K run downtown SF on Saturday the 24th.

It would be *really* nice to meet Hypographers in Real Life. :eek_big:

Post a message or send me a PM.

Giving this a bump!

I'm leaving for SF on Saturday and will be there all next week and until Tuesday the 27th. I'm staying at the Crowe Plaza hotel. If anyone wants to get together let me know!

I'll be really busy Sunday-Friday, but from Friday evening I'm completely off and am on my own until I leave.

I have to skip the 5K run since I've been unable to train lately due to health problems. :) I still plan to go for some runs though so if you have tips for good routes let me know. :esad:

Yeah. Just run along the coast. . It's too beautiful.

Might be cold this time a year, but if you tune it out (running helps)

it's just beautiful.

There's this "scenic route" that runs along the coast I recall it intersects near the golden gate bridge. I've always loved driving thru there, I've never ran thru- Maybe you should try it.

Global warming is currently in effect here (God's punishment for all us darned Liberals): it was a record 80F degrees (27C) this weekend in the City and pushing 90 out where I am in the 'burbs. Bring shorts just in case!

Off to Disneyland for spring break though...

N'joy!

Are you going to rent a car or tavel by bus and cable car?

Don't know yet...might rent a car for the last weekend. The first 7 days are packed and we'll be bussed around I think.

I may be going to California two weekends from now to look at colleges. What a weird coincidence that is. I will most certainly let you know, because it would be great to finally meet some Hypographers. However things end up in the end, we will most certainly need some pictures!

The flight was terrible. 2.5 hours from Oslo to London, then 4 hours wait, and 11 hours from London to San Francisco...then two hours to get through customs and then onto the hotel... phew!

We went out for some food and beers after we arrived last night, and I managed to crash at 11:30pm...only to wake up at 1am. But luckily I got about 4-5 hours of sleep. At 6:30 I went down to the excercise room and ran for about 30 minutes - I don't feel like going out for a run when it's dark and I don't know the city. I hope to take a run along the wharf tomorrow morning though.

Our schedule is really tight but I'll probably be waking up early for a while since I'm now 8 hours "off" my usual rhythm. :)

I got a really nice room on the 19th floor, with somewhat of a view of some big buildings (I think I'm seeing up Powell street).

Hm...I leave by next Tuesday so I won't be here then. :(

If you get down to Mountain View make sure you stop in Casa Lupe 2 for some fine Mexican food. It is on El Camino Real near the Sunnyvale border, behind an Arby's. Best guacamole you will ever have the privilige of eating.

I wouldn't be surprised if I've had a carne asada burrito from that place.

Just stopping by to say hi! We visited Google this morning. It's one place I can't say I really would want to work. It felt like coming back to college... but they have a great lunch room and all.

The afternoon was spent in Almaden at the IBM Almaden Research Lab and wow talk about cultural differences. And what a beautiful location...

Anyway I gotta run down to the hotel bar for a quick recap and then I have to rent a car because tomorrow morning I have to leave around 7am to travel down to NASA Ames.

Can't wait until I get some free time on Saturday... ;)

That sounds terrible, I hope things even out! ;)

:hihi:

One of my good friends called me today and he was just in SF. He said it was 80 degrees and fine!
