Because I've made a couple very poor decisions lately, I've decided to abandon my membership here at Hypography.

Having read the last hundred posts or so I couldn't find anything to warrant a self imposed banishment. While we all do things at times that we judge more harshly than those around us we should remember that punishing ourselves for these deeds might punish those around us. This thread shows that you should abandon this idea. You've punished yourself long enough. It's Thanksgiving. Surrender and return.

Hey, better "Shane" than "Old Yeller", if I remember my movies right. Oh, and I guess I get last word on that thread about "you know what" Infy... Too Much Information!!!

 

But if you return to dispute that, I'd love to see you back here.

Hello Infy,

Well, I hope all of these responses to your thread will force you to reconsider your departure. Yes it is true we all make errors.

I can think of many reasons why I should leave. So too I am sure others here.

But anyway. I hope you make the right choice.

 

In addition, I would like to say, though we've not communicated much in the past few months, that I think your ideas are very worth while in considering for a large chunck of not just Hypography members, but for cosmologists and physicists in general.

My dear friends, I so appreciate all the kind words. Considering my return to active duty, I felt it only proper to change the title of this thread to something more appropriate. To all those who know me best and have been such dear friends, I sincerely regret my absence and look forward to rejoining all the current activities. I must apologize with deepest humility for the misconduct I found myself engaged in. I am so glad that you've returned to Hypography!!!

 

...really. I don't think you understand exactly how valuable you are to our community, and how much your absense negatively affected many of us here at Hypography.

In any case, what is done is done.

Well, Infy, I never reacted on your "retirement" because I never felt I completely understood your motives. But it is good to have you back.

And, paraphrasing on your signature, please go on teaching us from time to time, we suffer you so gladly that - according to your signature - we do not learn at all !
