TheBigDog Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 As The Guess Who said so well back in the 70's... "Clap for the Wolfman!" Zythryn has joined the 100 rep ranks. Now when you change your avatar this will be just another peice of trivia. And Tortise has reached the magical *gulp* 400 marker. It is probably safe to say that everyone has already given him an attaboy on a more personal level. Or else he would not be at 400 rep! So all I can do it try to summon you from your shell.... Champagne Ogre Congratulations to you both! And thank you both for keeping me thinking. Cheers :hyper: :hyper: :hihi: Bill Quote
Turtle Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 Congrats Zythryn! And as for you simbiote DigBog...my poor head is so swollen and bulbous that it took me near a pound of butter and 90 minutes to squeeze it out of my shell this morning. :hyper: I fear I will soon need a wheeled cart just to move about. :hyper: There may be no spoon, but there is a knife & fork.:hihi: Tormod 1 Quote
Zythryn Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 Thank you Bill and Turtle:)And, at the risk of making your head too large for even butter to help, congratulations to you as well Turtle! Tormod 1 Quote

De nada. :hyper: I am now preparing a poultice of rolled oats and Preparation H to apply to my head as this should shrink swelling, improve my scale texture, and allow the possibility that as others have suggested, I ought to take my head out the end of my shell that that I put it into. :hyper: Quote
Jay-qu Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 Exellent work both of you :hyper: keep up the good work! :hyper: Quote
Chacmool Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 Well done and congratulations, Zythryn and Turtle! :warped: ;) Quote
cwes99_03 Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 Too bad rep points have turned into the highschool equivalence of the cool making the cool, which is not what their original intention was, and the cool pasting sticky notes on the backs of those whom they reject simply because they don't like them, that say kick me and post as many notes on me as you can. What no rep points for that? Oh, well, hit me again with that little pink square, friends. Quote

Natural selection, baby!:D Sounds like you were bullied in high school.. just throwing this out there, but are you noticing a pattern?:ud: The scenario changes, but the circumstances stay the same. Is it, perhaps, something that is wrong with your attitude?:singer: Tormod 1 Quote
cwes99_03 Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 Yah the funny thing is that I was the biggest kid in school (yep even than my older brother) but my mild spirit and refusal to attack anyone made me appear a fine target to the worst of the worst.Satisfying to know that half of those kids (no joke, but I came from a small school so half of 8 is only 4) are currently in jail or pissing away their life doing drugs in somebody's barn. I should state that I'm sure that some of the rep Zyth and Turtle received was justified. I myself have given Turtle (and possibly Zyth) rep for some truly wonderful posts, but without the ability to read someone's reason for rep and the post they applied it to, I cannot tell you if it was, IMO, deserved . I reserve my rep for truly good or bad posts, but good and bad are relative terms here aren't they. Even then, I do not hand out rep just because someone is being a jerk or they are my friend. I only hand out rep when I feel that a comment is made that is truly worth a clap on the back or a spank on the bottom. While I myself have received a couple of spanks on the bottom (some of them deserved I would even say) I know that Turtle does not share my viewpoint of the reason of rep. But that was revealed in a PM, and I would have to have his permission to use it. Quote
cwes99_03 Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 I take that back, it must have been in open forum because Turtle hasn't discussed anything with me in a PM. Quote
cwes99_03 Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 Sure enough I find it a few seconds later. turtle said: At the risk of going off topic, but as you opened the door, I'll discuss the issue of reputation as it applies to this thread. Cw said: Quote:Originally Posted by CW[/i]Turtle, I have tried twice to figure out what you have against me or against religion via PM, but you have refused to answer. I don't know what has you worked up so much that you are getting so angry. Angry enough that you have now given me bad rep twice in less than 6 days for two posts on this site without much reason (you did say I was being arrogant, but did not explain why you thought so). I do not carry on discussions via PM in general, and in particular I will not engage you privately because there is nothing I have to say that I won't say in public. You employ this tactic of suggesting people draw off to the side with you so you can straighten them out consistantly here and I rebuke the tactic. You have brought the private issue of my reputation votes on your behalf into the public in an attempt to generate sympathy for your wounds, but the truth is I see that as whining and weakness and reason enough to strike more blows. For all your claimed special understanding of the bible and its having all the answers, how is it you don't understand my actions? Just as I maintain that Americans need to vote out the religious elected officials, I maintain that the reputation voting system here at the forum serves a similar function for voting against religious elitism. So in conclusion, I will cast my rep votes when, where, and how I care to. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.http://hypography.com/forums/136576-post194.html Turtle has now given me neg rep 7 times in the past month and 12 days. Quote
cwes99_03 Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 BTW thanks Coon for neg repping post 11. :singer: Quote
InfiniteNow Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Perhaps it would appear more understandable if they were called style points... Your last few points were a bit whiney... no offense... :singer: Quote
InfiniteNow Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Congrats to big RAC who hit the two double naught!! :circle::friday::circle: Quote
Tormod Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 cwes99_03 said: Turtle has now given me neg rep 7 times in the past month and 12 days. Well cwes, if you were a big boy in school I see no reason for all this whining! :esmoking: The rep system is simply a way to give good or bad feedback, and it evolves since some people have more rep power, some have less. To get more rep power you would want to start good topics and write good posts, not piss up someone's back. Turtle gets his rep because he keeps posting interesting stuff, and all his katabatak drawings etc are great stuff for Hypography. Zythryn gets it because he is always a cool-headed fellow who has a lot of reasonable things to say. The best way to get neg-repped is probably to whine about it. :cocktail: Quote
