I need to configure my PDA phone running windows mobile 5 to open a terminal session with my PC over bluetooth. I've got XP SP2 Pro running on the PC, but everytime I try to open the Terminal Service Client on my phone, it tries to connect via GPRS! :warped:

I've got an I-Mate K-Jam running Win CE 5, and I cannot, for the life of me, get the Terminal Service Client on the phone to prefer bluetooth over GPRS for the terminal session.

I'm about to kick the damn thing.

I've cruised the web, Microsoft's site, I-Mate's site, and a whole bunch of other sites, but nobody can tell me whether it's possible over Bluetooth, and if it is, how to connect the darn thing.

Damn electronic gadgets. Where's a good ol'e vacuum valve when you need one?

Anybody ever done this? Any ideas?

I'd say that if he needs a terminal server he needs a terminal server!

I never know much about today's gadgetry, does Bluetooth use IP? The problem appears to be around that layer or lower. It might be possible to reconfigure the client but it might be a fixed choice of the client.

I am with you Q, I don't know a lot about bluetooth and what protocols it uses but that would be where i started. In xp i know you can bump protocols up and down the list so that IPX is scanned before IP. This is done via the network properties page. Does WinCE have a similar ability to adjust network properties?
