Is Ayurveda Scientifically Valid? Where Does It Align with Modern Medicine?

Ayurveda is often debated in scientific circles—some say it's outdated, while others claim it offers insights modern medicine is only beginning to understand.

For example, Ayurveda’s concept of Prakriti (body types) aligns closely with genetic predispositions in modern medicine.

The practice of Nasya therapy (nasal administration) resembles modern intranasal drug delivery.
Ayurvedic herbs like Giloy (Tinospora cordifolia) have been widely researched for their immune-boosting effects.

But where do the two systems differ? Can Ayurveda’s individualized approach complement modern evidence-based treatments?

What are your thoughts? Should Ayurveda be integrated into modern healthcare?

What is Ayurveda?
