Stephen Hawking on the BBC

This is amazing guys. Right now, there is an interview with Stephen Hawking on the BBC website.

 

To hear it, click on 'watch', then when the player comes up, click on 'sci-tech' followed by 'Humans need another planet'.

 

 

I have to say, what ever people say about Hawking, I seriously underestimated Hawkings abilities as a speaker. He was quite simply a fantastic ambassador for Science. He was witty, charming and is very skilled at putting complex ideas in easy to understand form.

I wrote him once about Katabataks, and I received in return a nice boilerplate post card acknowledging receipt of my missive and giving Steven's apology for not being able to respond personally. A very pleasant man from only two degrees of separation...more or less... than seven. :eek:

No direct link is possible, but I've told you how to find it.

 

Go to www.bbc.co.uk. Then click on the bit that says 'watch' etc. as given in my first post.

 

If you do it quickly, then the interview will still be on the main sci-tech section.

 

If you do not, I think it may be possible to search the website somehow and hear the interview, but it may take a bit of skill with search engines.
